Eternit Guangzhou Building Systems Co., Ltd. founded in 1984. It is an advanced technology co-invested and founded by Belgium Etex Group, Guangzhou International Trust and Investment Company and Guangzhou Building Materials Enterprise Group Co., Ltd. (affiliated to Guangzhou Yuexiu Group) , with a registered capital of 18 million US dollars. It is one of the earliest foreign-invested enterprises in Guangzhou and one of the earliest manufacturers of fiber reinforced cement board in China. Our factory is located in Guangzhou Yonghe Economic Zone, covering 57,000 square meters of land and surrounded by green mountains and clear water, and equipped with advanced production equipment, technology and management system. The product "Eternit Fiber Cement Board" produced by our company is also referred to as " Eterpan". Due to its early start and wide industry influence, it has become a landmark product in China's fiber cement board industry and is widely used in building external decoration, energy-saving system, indoor partition, ceiling system and curtain wall fireproof & insulation internal lining, acoustic system, flooring system and other fields. We have finished thousands of project references. Our products have been used in many of the landmark projects in central cities in China, such as Artificial Island of Hong kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, National Grand Theater, Shanghai World Expo Performance Center, Guangzhou Tower, PingAn International Finance Center (PINGAN IFC) Shenzhen, KK100 Shenzhen, Phoenix Island Sanya, and so on. Our factory has also obtained ISO9001:2008 quality management system certification, ISO140001:2004 environmental management system certification, OHSAS18001:2007 occupational safety and health management system certification, and Asbestos-free workshop certification from the international quality certification agency BV. We have always persisted and committed to manufacture and sell environmental-friendly and safe products. All our products have obtained China Environmental Labeling Product Certification. Our distributing network has spread all over the country and our products have been sold to Europe, America, Australia, Africa, Southeast Asia and other overseas markets.
Eternit’s KOB production base in Belgium was officially operated. It was located in Kapelle-Op-den-Bos, covering 200,000 square meters, or equal to the size of 30 football match fields. Today it is still one of the major production sites of Eternit reinforced fibre cement boards.
Reconstruction after World WarⅡbreathed new life into the building sector. Eternit grew and continued to invest，building its first fibre cement factory in Africa in Congo in 1949.
With the continuous consolidation of the industry's leading position in the fiber cement board material category, the Group began to develop in the direction of product diversification. In 1957, Gyproc was founded in Belgium to produce gypsum board products.
Eternit established an NBK production base
in Neubeckum, Germany, covering 300,000 square meters. It is currently the main
production base of the group for the production of high-end fiber cement boards
for exterior walls.
Entered the Chinese market and co-invested with Guangzhou International Trust and Investment Company and Guangzhou Building Materials Enterprise Group Co., Ltd. (affiliated to Guangzhou Yuexiu Group) to establish Eternit Guangzhou Building Systems Co., Ltd. It is the first factory in China which produces reinforced fibre cement boards.
Optimising the group’s product portfolio，Etex sold its Latin American ceramics business to Mexican firm Lamosa
in 2016.
Etex Group is stationed in the new
headquarters building located in the heart of Europe near Brussels Airport in
Belgium, which will become a flexible communication hub connecting the world,
fully demonstrating Etex Group's global development goals.

Etex invests 1% of yearly sales towards
innovation, expecting that 20% of the sales revenue will come from new
products.
The yearly Etex Innovation Awards enables Etex employees around the world to present their self-devleoped
innovation projects which may have potentials in the future.
Etex Group has a R&D team that
integrates global resources. The three global R&D centers around the world
are specialized in different material fields:
1. Redco R&D center in Belgium,
specializing in fiber cement products, clay and concrete tiles and coatings;
2. PRTC R&D Center in Belgium,
specializing in passive fire protection and high-performance insulation
products;
3. TDC R&D center in France,
specializing in gypsum products.
Etex Group has set up testing centers
for different product applications in many regions around the world to support
more than 100 factories worldwide to develop new products and improve
production equipment, and continue to improve the performance of various products:
